Our Outdoor Stations of the Cross were completed in 2023 with generous parishioner donations. The fifteen stations begin near Mission Blvd and St Joseph Terrace with a wrought iron arch and are connected by a concrete pathway lined in red to remind us of our Lord’s passion.  The archway’s lettering “Via Crucis” is Latin for “Way of the Cross.” The stations wind around three sides of the parish gathering area and under the trees along the creek.  The path ends near a fifteenth station celebrating Jesus’ resurrection and exits through another wrought iron arch with the Latin phrase “Go In Peace.”

     

The stations were made in Italy for the parish and arrived at the Port of Oakland.  The stations are painted gold and are lit at night.
