Our Lady of La VangOur Lady of La Vang, also known as the “Queen of La Vang,” is an exalted Marian apparition in Vietnam. In 1798, during a brutal persecution of Catholics by the Vietnamese emperor, a group of Catholic refugees sought shelter in the jungle near La Vang village. There, the Blessed Mother appeared to them, comforting and reassuring them of her protection. The apparition is said to have taken place under a banyan tree, which has since become a sacred pilgrimage site. Today, Our Lady of La Vang is the patroness of Vietnam, and her shrine in La Vang attracts millions of devotees each year. Our Lady of La Vang |
