The Sacrament of Anointing of the sick and elderly will be celebrated at the 8:00 am Mass at the MAIN CHURCH on Saturday, October 5th. Light hospitality will be offered afterwards.

In general the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick may and should be celebrated with people who:

• experience a need for healing or are of advanced age
• are scheduled for serious or major surgery
• have had a downturn in health or have developed a new illness even though the person may have received the sacrament before

In the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick we pray for the kind of healing needed by the sick person. The healing may be physical, emotional and/or spiritual.
