Our Lady of Good Health

Our Lady of Good Health, also known as Our Lady of Vailankanni, is a worshiped Marian apparition and pilgrimage site in Vailankanni, Tamil Nadu, India. The shrine is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, who is believed to have appeared to locals in the 16th century.

According to tradition, the apparitions took place in 1570, when a young boy was cured of a severe illness after being prayed for by a Portuguese sailor. The sailor had invoked the intercession of the Blessed Mother, and the boy’s miraculous recovery was attributed to her intervention.

The shrine of Our Lady of Good Health has since become a major pilgrimage site, attracting millions of devotees from all over India and beyond. The shrine is famous for its beautiful architecture, stunning statues, and intricate carvings.
