Reminders and changes to the Eucharistic Minister Procedures.
(Nov. 2008 Revised 10/28/08).

•Before completing the distribution, scan around the area to insure that Eucharist has been delivered to all the handicapped in the pews.

•Do not consume the Blood of Christ from the chalice while walking back to the credence table. Instead, stop in front of the credence table, consume any leftover, and return the chalice to the tray on the credence table.

•Head ministers who elect to stand during the consecration should stand near the chairs at the sides of the altar.

•Head ministers do not remove the collection basket from the sanctuary until the Mass is over.

Procedure changes for St Joseph MSJ beginning November 2008.

•No Changes for those distributing the Blood of Christ.

•The head host minister will leave the tabernacle open after withdrawing the gold ciborium with cover.

•For minister distributing the Body of Christ:
1. As the Body and Blood of Christ are being distributed by the ministers, the altar server will leave the tray on Joseph side (host) on the altar, and leave the corporal (white cloth about 2 feet square) in place in the altar center. On the corporal will be the gold ciborium taken from the tabernacle containing extra consecrated Body of Christ.
2. As each minister of the Body of Christ completes distribution, they will take their dish to the altar, and place it on the corporal, then return to their seat.
3. The Head Host minister will stand near the chairs by the credence table until all the other ministers, host and cup, have completed their duties, and left the sanctuary.
4. When the other ministers have left the sanctuary (Head Cup minister should be seated on the Mary side), the Head Host minister will go to the altar, combine the left over consecrated Body of Christ into the gold ciborium, and place the empty glass dish on the tray. Then return the ciborium to the tabernacle. Close the tabernacle, and reverently bow. Return to the altar to take the tray with empty dishes to the credence table.
5. After the Head Host minister has left the altar, the altar server will fold up the corporal inward to capture any particles of consecrated Body of Christ, and take it to the credence table.
