Catechetical Sunday
(3 reads)
Sunday, September 19 - This year, Catechetical Sunday, September 19, 2010, will focus on the theme, “Matrimony: Sacrament of Enduring Love.” Those who have been designated by the community to serve as Catechists, Religion Teachers and Ministers of Faith will be called forth to be commissioned for their ministry at the 9am Mass on September 19. Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a community of faith.

Father Joseph T. Nguyen
(7 reads)
Dear Friends,
It is with some sadness that we have to announce that Father Joseph will be leaving our parish on September 15, 2010. Father Joseph has been reassigned as parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Christ the Light and has been with us since January 1, 2008. Such a short time. It is with heavy heart that we see him move on. At the same time our love and prayers go with him as he assumes his new responsibilities at the Cathedral.

To honor and thank him for his ministry here at St. Joseph, there will be a reception following the 12:30 Mass on Sunday the 12th at which Father Joseph will preside. All are welcome.
- Fr. Manny
