August 24 & 25 Father Pius Arattukulam, a priest from the Diocese of Alleppey will be visiting the parish on August 24th & 25th to share the missionary experience. The diocese of Alleppey is so grateful to you for giving us this opportunity to share the mission of Christ. Located in Kerala State, on the southwest coast of India, Alleppey has a Catholic population of 166,870 of which 70% are very poor traditional fishermen who live on meager income from their daily catch. The Diocesan social services and other ministries work hard to support the Lord’s less fortunate to her level best. Last year, in the month of August, they experienced a devastating flood which left a lot of damage to the area. The Diocese played a major role in the emergency and continue to support the poor that are affected by the flood. Some of the major projects are repairing and reconstructing houses, assisting families who lost their homes, helping children with educational aid, etc. The Diocese invites you to join in helping out the poor and affected people with your generosity. Contributions from the CO-OP will help our housing project.
