A bereavement workshop is being developed for our deanery (Holy Spirit, St Edward, St. James, St Joseph, and Our Lady of Guadalupe parishes). The purpose of this ministry is to be a source of education, comfort and support to those who have suffered a loss.

Have you ever wanted to make a difference in someone’s life who may be grieving a loss?

• Death of a loved one or friend.
• Loss of employment.
• Divorce
• Breakup of a relationship.
• Home foreclosure

Our new Ministry of Consolation may be the opportunity you have been looking to help our parish and Catholic community.

The workshop location is at Holy Spirit Parish DeSousa House Classroom, Fremont. Saturday, June 2nd and June 16th, 9am to 3pm. The workshop will be led by Sandy Heinisch, Grief Minister Counselor and Trainer with the National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved, and with the Oakland Diocese.

Wednesday, May 16 An information Q&A meeting will be held at Holy Spirit parish (St. Perpetua room) to answer your questions on Wednesday, May 16th at 7pm.
